Choices

On my last post I had started weaving a shawl with a yellow/green silk yarn for the weft, but I found that I wasn't quite happy with the results.  I think the choice was too predictable for me -- it felt familiar, as if I had woven or knitted something similar in these colors before.

Wanting to head in a different direction, I went to my stash and found a silver/grey cashmere and silk blend yarn.  This silver/grey appears to soften and tone down the vibrant colors in the variegated warp.  I like this effect.  A cashmere and silk blend isn't too shabby either.
