The best of intentions

Buggin' Out sock

This time I planned ahead and gave myself a few weeks to knit a gift, a pair of socks.  Wouldn't you know it, I got through the heel turn on the first sock and realized I made the sock much too small.

I had fallen in love with the sock by this time and couldn't possibly bring myself to frog it and start again in the bigger size.  So what was the logical thing to do?

Start another sock, of course!   By this time though, I was getting close to my deadline.

Fortunately I finished one sock so I had something to wrap instead of just a ball of yarn for the big day.  My needles are clicking away trying to finish the second sock so I can turn the pair over to the anxious recipient.

What's going to happen to the other pair of socks you ask?  Well,  miraculously, they fit me. Wasn't that convenient?

Beautiful blue socks! I love that pattern. Every time I see it I move it up in my queue until I get distracted again by something else :-)

Well what do you know. Funny how things work out.

The socks (both) are gorgeous. I love that gray colorway.
