Lace

I never thought I would take to lace knitting, but I do have to say I enjoyed knitting my latest project, a Shetland Triangle shawl.  One caveat on the lace knitting though:  only with fingering weight or heavier yarn for me.

I started this project on a long plane flight to Europe and finished it on the plane ride back home.  How amazing is that for a not-so-fast knitter?

And what's not to like about another use for all that pretty sock yarn stash?

Pattern:  Shetland Triangle Shawl by Evelyn Clark
Yarn:  Wollmeise 100% fingering weight
Colorway:  Rhabarber
Modifications:  11 repeats of body lace chart with plenty of yarn to spare

So lovely. Perfect for long flight knitting. And a break from knitting in circles! (socks). Same reason I have come to lace knitting......perfect for flying.....

It's gorgeous! I'm inspired. I do have some lovely yarn that I think I need to destash. This is so pretty!
